LyraFest at Waterstones - 20 Years of Spoken Word at Bath Spa

Bath Spa University was the first university in the UK to run a specialist class in spoken word poetry and 2025 sees its 20th anniversary. This event, hosted by Bath Spa Professor Lucy English, is a showcase of talent from across the years and celebrates the former students who are now published poets, promoters and educators. Featuring Shagufta Iqbal, Kathryn O'Driscoll, Danny Carlo Pandolfi, Josie Alford and Rebecca Tantony. Come and see this huge range of dynamic talent! An outreach event as part of Lyra - Bristol Poetry Festival outreach and BSU Creative Writing Research Centre.

I will be performing alongside incredible pianist SilverTortoise, offering a poetic debut that explores motherhood, the nonlinear experience of time and the passing of generational patterns from one family member to another. A heartfelt journey scored to a beautiful soundtrack of high and low notes.
